Livestock Ministry Demonstrates Readiness for Service-Wide Personnel Audit

The Federal Ministry of Livestock Development has demonstrated strong readiness for the ongoing Personnel Audit and Skills Gap Analysis being implemented across the Federal Civil Service by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).

During a courtesy briefing by the consulting team from the OHCSF, Zimedy Services Limited, to the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Chinyere Ijeoma Akujobi, she described the audit as a vital step toward strengthening institutional capacity, improving workforce efficiency, and advancing the Head of the Civil Service’s vision of a modern, technology-driven public service.

The Ministry has successfully completed all preliminary requirements, including the submission of a comprehensive Skills Taxonomy, a framework identifying the technical, functional, and professional skills required across departments, as well as sensitisation and data preparation activities.

The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to maintaining its leadership role in implementing the reforms, in line with the Head of Service’s vision of a modern, efficient, and digitally driven civil service.

The Team Lead for Zimedy Services Limited, Mr. Seun Babalola, commended the Ministry for its thorough preparation and seamless coordination in the build-up to the exercise.

He further noted that the Ministry’s proactive approach, teamwork, and effective internal communication have ensured a smooth transition into the audit phase.

The two-month exercise is designed to assess competencies across the Service and align skills with the evolving operational needs of government.
